Lake Nakuru National Park is one of Kenya’s most scenic and accessible wildlife parks, centered around Lake Nakuru, a shallow alkaline lake famous for its flamingo populations and white rhinos.

Wildlife Highlights:
Flamingos:
Once home to millions of flamingos, though numbers now fluctuate with water levels and salinity.
You’ll still often see lesser and greater flamingos in large groups, especially when water levels are right.
Rhinos:
A sanctuary for both black and white rhinos, with good chances of sightings.
Lake Nakuru is one of the best places in Kenya to see rhinos safely and up close.
Other Animals:
Rothschild’s giraffes (a rare subspecies reintroduced to the park)
Lions, leopards (often seen in trees), buffaloes, waterbucks, zebras, baboons, and warthogs.
Over 400 species of birds, making it a birdwatcher’s haven.
